Psychiatry would be a fitting job for me though I’m not sure my love for it will endure. As the Career Interest Profiler helped me identify, psychiatry appeals to my affinity for investigative occupations. However, it could conflict with my apparent desire for artistic and realistic occupations, both also garnered from the Career Interest Profiler. I think that this a serious consideration for me as a career path. I will have to look more into the schooling process, which turns me off about it slightly to be honest. But, I believe that I can find worth within the additional years of preparation that come along. Attending medical school, acquiring a medical license, and participating in four years of residency will definitely serve as challenges between me and becoming a psychiatrist.
Dermatology was recommended to me by Naviance because of my tendency toward investigative and social careers. In other words, while tending to patients, I will have to interact with other medical professionals. I think that turning to dermatology could be good for me. As I’ve struggled with skin conditions in the past, I feel like this job could serve particularly satisfying as some sort of vengeance against my own diseases. Helping others solve their skin problems would feel especially cathartic because I’ve been in their shoes before. I feel like my happy attitude toward work and the personal background with the field would help motivate me toward success in this career.
Anthropology appeals to my interest in investigative, social, and artistic careers, as highlighted by Naviance. Thankfully, anthropologists can find work virtually anywhere, be it in corporations, government, schools, or non-profit organizations. I think that my personality type will correspond well with this career’s demands. I can see myself being an anthropologist for a long time and enjoying it all throughout. My work style will find itself apt for the environment that anthropology presents. Additionally, researching public policy and the origins of is something that will not see obsoletion in the near future, so I can rely on this career steadily.
